In 1998 when I was in Voralberg working as a restaurator, I was lucky to meet the artist, Matthias Baumgartner, who introduced me to a new direction in art which he had been developing for over 10 years. I spent a lot of time with Mathias, learning his PanArt technique from him, before opening my own PanArt school in Graz, in 2002.

Matthias Baumgartner uses the term PanArt as an umbrella term for such little-known painting techniques as Panlinea, Panmode, Panta Rhei, Pantarell, Fan-Panta Rhei, Pan-graphic. After a lot of experimentation in this technique, Matthias was the first to start teaching it in 1990. For more about Matthias Baumgartner and his work click here.
